Creating Space: It’s All About Priorities
As I was driving through town yesterday, I noticed a sign at a church with Sunday’s sermon topic – “Creating Space”. I thought they were probably not referring to organizing and clearing clutter. There are so many areas of our lives we need to create space.
I personally need to create space within my time. Most days I feel I’m not accomplishing anything. There are times I feel I am not focused on the tasks at hand. An exercise to help remedy this is to actually write down the things you are doing during the day. At the end of the day you can see that you have accomplished quite a bit. It also helps to see if your priorities are in order and where improvements can be made.
We could all probably create space in helping others. What can do that would help someone else? Again, proprieties are the key to finding answers.
Do you need space for your family? Do you need space for yourself?
Every so often it helps to review your priorities. Align your day and your time to create space for the things that are important to you. Items that are not important or that really don’t matter can stay buried in the closet with that ten year old sweater you just can find time to throw out.
